Single-familie house , Low-energy construction in Ahaus

The design task consisted of the integration of  the aspects building  shape, energy efficiency, flexible floor plan , high-quality equipment, inclusion of the outside facility up to the furniture design and light planning. Due to its great transparency, clear structures and high-quality materials, a residential building with a high quality of living has been created. While the building is establishes a bridge in urban context between single-family homes and apartment blocks, the layout of the floor plan allows adaptation to changing life situations. Particular attention has been paid to energy efficiency and sustainability in planning and execution. This was achieved, among other aspects, by a compact structure with passive energy generation, the optimal building orientation, a sustainable choice of the plot, installations for domestic water heating and heat recovery and a local economic construction methods.
